Which country do you ship to?
We deliver SYE watches all over the world.
What are the delivery times?
In general, if you order before 12:00pm (GMT+1) we ship the same day.
We only use Express shipment partners UPS, DHL or GLS depending on the countries.
Our usual delivery times are :
- France : 24/48h
- Europe: 2/3 days
- International: 4/10 days
Is delivery free?
Delivery is offered from above 200€ orders.
For orders below 200€, a participation fee will be charged:
- Europe: 5€
- International: 15€
Do I have to pay duties and taxes?
In France and in the European Union, taxes and customs fees are included in the price of your order.
Outside the European Union, taxes and customs fees are not included. You may be subject to local duty/import taxes, if they apply. These taxes will be claimed on behalf of local customs by our express carrier prior to delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise you of the amount of these charges in advance and advise you to contact the duty services in your country to obtain an estimated duty amount and the base rate of VAT. If the taxes and customs fees are not paid, your order will be returned to us.
How can I track my parcel?
At each stage of your order, you will receive an email from us including a dedicated tracking link.
What should I do if I have a delivery issue?
For any delivery issue with your order, please contact us directly from our contact page or by chat.
We will make the necessary arrangements with the carrier and will do everything possible to ensure that your order arrives safely at its destination.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES

How do I proceed for a return?
You’re not totally happy with your SYE watch or with the color of your Fastback™ strap?
Follow these simple steps to proceed to the return of your product.
1/ Contact SYE [Start Your Engine] with the completed return request form at hello (at) syewatches (dot) com.
2/ Once the return accepted by SYE, you have 14 days to send the product back (at your own cost) to the address that will be communicated to you.
The returned products have to be unworn, in their genuine packaging. We advise you to organize the return through an appropriate delivery method.
3/ Once the returned products inspected, SYE will refund you under a delay of maximum 7 days.
PRECAUTIONS
The returned goods must be in genuine conditions and must have never been worn.
Returned products that show signs of wear, are damaged, incomplete or dirty will not be accepted. Hence, they will not be refund and will be sent back to their owner.
To avoid any hassle, we strongly recommend sending the product back with insured delivery.
How do I proceed for an exchange
Still hesitating about the right model of your SYE watch or with the color of your Fastback™ strap?
Follow these simple steps to proceed to the exchange of your product.
1/ Contact SYE [Start Your Engine] with the completed exchange form at hello (at) syewatches (dot) com.
2/ SYE will get back to you with a pre-paid shipping label to send your product back.
NOTE: The returned products have to be unworn, in their genuine packaging.
3/ Once the returned product(s) inspected, SYE will send you the new reference(s) you selected and will eventually proceed to refund/payment collection to finalize the process (if the price of the new item is different from the original purchase).

You have the choice to pay directly with your credit cards or pay in multiple installments for free.
We also integrate Paypal, Amex, Apple Pay and many other payment services. They are displayed in the footer of the website.
Can I pay in multiple installments?
Yes you can, it's very easy!
> Using ALMA
At checkout, select the option "pay in 3 or 4 installments". You'll then be directed to Alma's platform, which will ask you a few questions to authorize the payment. The total amount and dates of the installments will then be confirmed. Every month, Alma will send you an e-mail to notify you of your upcoming payment.
Alma is currently available for customers living in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and Ireland
> Using PAYPAL
At checkout, select the Paypal payment. You'll then be directed to Paypal's platform. You'll then just have to choose the option to split your payment in 4 installments for free. Simple as that.
> Using KLARNA
At checkout, select the option to pay with Klarna. You'll then be directed to Klarna's platform, which will ask you a few questions to authorize the payment. The total amount and dates of the installments will then be confirmed.
Klarna is currently available for customers living in France, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, UK and USA.
Can I cancel my order?

WARRANTY
SYE watches are guaranteed during 2 years.
How long is the warranty?
SYE watches warranty is valid for a period of 2 years from the date of delivery.
What does the warranty cover?
To give you a short version of our warranty policy, please find the main learnings below.
WATCHES:
Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects occurring during normal use. We will replace free of charge any defective components due to a manufacturing error found by our workshop.
Please note that the warranty is not applicable in the following cases:
- Theft, loss.
- Wear and tear and normal aging of the watch (scratched glass, impact on the case...)
- All types of damage to the entire watch (or part of it) resulting from improper handling or use, lack of maintenance, negligence, accident (drop, scratch, crush, broken glass, etc.), improper use of the watch or failure to follow the instructions provided by SYE.
- All types of damage indirectly related or consequential to normal wear and tear of the watch, such as non-functioning, defects or inaccuracies of the watch.
FASTBACK™ straps AND ACCESSORIES:
With regard to straps, bracelets and accessories, our warranty covers all manufacturing defects that appear during normal use. We will replace (free of charge) a defective item due to a manufacturing error noticed by our workshop (aesthetic defect, stitching, damaged leather, scratched buckle...)
Please note that the warranty is not applicable in the following cases:
- Theft, loss.
- Wear and tear and normal aging of the article (discoloration of the leather, etc...)
- All types of damage resulting from improper handling or use, negligence, accident (scratches, etc.), improper use of the item.
SYE WATCHES
Operating and taking care of your SYE watch is a breeze.
Does the Fastback™ system have any impact on water resistance?
Not at all! The Fastback™ system has been designed around the case to ensure natural integration between the watch case and the strap. There is no need to open the case to use the Fastback™ system and therefore no impact on water resistance.
How should I take care of my watch?
To enjoy your watch as long as possible, please follow our simple but effective tips on our related page. Some may seem obvious, but it's always useful to review the basics.
Are SYE watches made in France?
Yes they are.
The design and engineering is made in house in our office in Paris.
Our watches are assembled in France by our partner, which has been handling assembly and customer service for many French brands since 1956/for over four generations.
Each watch is meticulously inspected and the parts are assembled with the utmost precision.
All watches are then individually tested, particularly to ensure the movement works properly. Only after this are the watches set and the power reserve charged so they can be shipped to you, ready to be worn on your wrist for many years.
Our Fastback™ straps are produced by our partner, a top-range French manufacture carrying the "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant" label.
They are meticulously crafted with a high-quality finish to ensure they fit your wrist perfectly.
How can I set my SYE MOT1ON watch?
It's pretty easy. Follow the indications given in the user manual.
How do I get the full power reserve from my automatic watch?
When the power reserve of your SYE MOT1ON Automatic 24 watch is empty, you can wind up the movement by turning the crown clockwise in its normal position.
You get the maximum power reserve after 40 winding-up cycles.
How do I change the battery of the SYE MOT1ON Chronograph?
Changing the battery of the SYE Chronographs is really standard. You, or your local watchmaker, will have to remove the 4 screws maintaining the caseback.
You will then have access to the Seiko meca-quartz movement and the battery.
Then simply swap the battery with a new one.
Seiko recommends using a Seizaiken SR936SW battery.
You can also use a Renata 394 type battery.
The compatible characteristics are:
- Silver oxide battery
- 1.55 V
- Diameter: 9.5 x thickness: 3.6 (mm)
Will I be able to get my watch serviced or repaired if SYE [Start Your Engine] stops trading?
Our watches are assembled in France by a specialist in watch assembly and repair for four generations.
SYE MOT1ON watches come with a two-year warranty. After this period, our partner has committed to handling any services or repairs even if SYE is no longer around.
Furthermore, we made a conscious choice to use standard parts and movements to ensure our watches live as long as possible.
FASTBACK™ STRAPS
Fastback™ straps are equally beautiful and ingenious for a perfect fit with your watch.
Is the Fastback™ strap adapted to my wrist size?
Fastback™ straps are designed to be worn on a wide range of wrist sizes. To be sure our strap will fit your wrist, measure your wrist size where you usually wear your watch. If your wrist measures 15-20 cm (6-8 inches), all good! You'll be able to wear a MOT1ON watch by adjusting the strap to one of the nine integrated positions.
If not, well, you have the possibility to pick our metal straps that offer a bigger size.
We are also working on extending our sizes, but it's not ready yet.
How should I care of my Fastback™ strap?
We have taken every step to make sure your Fastback™ strap stays with you as long as possible.
SYE selects natural leather for a unique and uncomparable soft touch.
Like for all leather products, following some simple daily rules will let you enjoy your strap for as long as possible: - do not take baths, showers or go swimming with your Fastback™ strap - do not spray anything on the strap, particularly creams or perfumes - remove your strap before doing any kind of work... prevention is better than cure.
As a reminder, leather is a living and unique material.
Therefore, straps will naturally vary in appearance between each other and may also change appearance over time. This is part of their value – every strap will acquire its own patina over time, becoming uniquely yours.
Can I use a 'standard' watch strap?
To ensure as seamless an integration as possible between the MOT1ON case and the strap, the system we developed is unique. It is therefore not possible to use a standard watch strap (equipped with spring bars) with your MOT1ON watch.
How can I swap out my Fastback™ strap?
It's very easy, and it's part of the SYE's experience. Just have a look at our video tutorial or read the user manual.
Will I be able to replace my Fastback™ strap even if SYE [Start Your Engine] stops trading?
To produce our Fastback™ straps, we are collaborating with Manufacture Jean Rousseau, which has been crafting luxury straps for more than 65 years.
Should anything happen to SYE, Manufacture Jean Rousseau has committed to producing and selling Fastback™ straps to our customers as an extension of our business.
To get one, you will simply have to contact Jean Rousseau via their online form and indicate the reference of the SYE Fastback™ strap you want.
