SYE [Start Your Engine] unveils its new model, the Cannonball GMT travel watch. A timepiece that inherits SYE's DNA by spectacularly blending metal and leather, while refining its features for an enhanced experience. Since 1971, Cannonball is the name of a legendary and illegal race across the United
States. This name alone evokes speed, wide-open spaces, freedom, and adrenaline, serving as a challenge to all asphalt devotees!
The rule-free race starts from the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan and ends at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, California. The challenge: covering nearly 4,700 kilometers, East to West, as quickly as possible while avoiding law enforcement. The current record stands at 25 hours and 39 minutes.
SYE takes up the challenge and presents a travel watch engineered for long-distance journeys in Grand Touring class.

Equipped with the new Miyota 9075 movement, the Cannonball GMT displays 2 time zones thanks to its dedicated 24-hour hand.
Its GMT function allows precise and independent adjustment of the hour hand in one-hour increments, without affecting the minutes, seconds, and 24-hour display.
Miyota has paid particular attention to the tactile aspect of this new caliber, ensuring a quality feel when operating the crown and precise, defined clicks when adjusting the hour hand. The date at 3 o'clock is synchronized with the local time display.
Users can rely on its precision and longevity thanks to the automatic mechanical movement offering 42 hours of power reserve. Its accuracy is regulated in our workshop to -10/+10 seconds per day.

The Cannonball GMT inherits the MOT1ON model's case while optimizing its characteristics.
What stands out at first glance is the fully polished case with its emblematic profile line resembling a grille.
Just as one prepares a chassis for racing, the design team has refined every aspect of the watch to optimize its dimensions. The new bezel has been lowered by half a tenth for a striking visual change: the leather/steel integration is even more impressive on the wrist.
The crown/crown guard block has been redesigned with a screw-down crown for enhanced durability and security during travel adjustments.
The caseback remains unique with the Fastback™ system, its anodized screw, and its plate featuring multiple brushed and bead-blasted finishes.

Since a GMT watch is designed to cross time zones and chase the sun, SYE has replaced
the usual satinated dials with 2 new sunburst dials for this model: Columbus and Tulsa.
These 2 dials capture the essence of metallic bodywork, infused with a smoky grey for Columbus and glacier blue for Tulsa.
Legibility is optimized with the chapter ring that tracks the day, divided into contrasting day and night zones in 30-minute increments.
The wider hands feature BGW9 Luminova coating for lasting readability.
Finally, the GMT hand, which displays the reference time over 24 hours, stands out visually with an energetic orange accent perfectly paired with both dial colors and a Y-shaped design borrowed from the brand logo.
